Mark Carney's Popularity is Endangering Canada - Part 2
It has been a little while since I posted my first article in this series. Life has been kind of hectic for various reasons, and I have not had the time or the energy to write. But, now it is time to submit my next article in the series about how the Liberal Party of Canada has been leading this country in a direction that will lead to the destruction of this once great nation.
I am going to try to keep this article a little bit shorter. A lot of my information interlocks with other pieces, like a giant puzzle that has been designed over decades, but there are larger pieces that require their own articles to discuss rather than getting lumped in with other pieces. To that end, this article will focus on Mark Carney's ties to other nations which are stronger and more important to him than his ties with Canada.
Mark Carney has billed himself as one of the global elite. In an interview with a British journalist prior to winning the leadership of the Liberal Party, he stated that "People will charge me with being elitist or a globalist, to use that term, which is, well, that’s exactly, it happens to be exactly what we need." One could argue that this is a result of having been a banking executive with Goldman Sachs, but Carney seems to have a penchant for things that are happening around the world moreso than for things that are happening in the country of his childhood.
I can't really call Canada Carney's home country because he has lived abroad for a large part of his adult life. He was anchored in Canada until his time as the Governor of the Bank of Canada ended. Since then, he has lived and worked in Britain and the United States and has hardly even set foot in the nation of his birth. He has cultivated relationships with the movers and the shakers in business and politics the U.S. and Europe and he seems to still fancy them over the less self-absorbed Canadians. Even now, as the leader of this country, his family still lives largely in New York at the property that he owns there and 91% of his business investments are in the Unites States; you know, the country with which we are apparently in the middle of a trade war with? Yeah, that United States. I don't think that Mark Carney even owns any property in Canada. His land and business investments are almost all located outside of this country, and we are supposed to believe that he has the best intentions for Canada? Somehow I doubt that.
What is more, Mark Carney has this interesting habit of turning to American news broadcasters to make his big announcements. It was during an appearance on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart that Mark Carney made his first announcement that he was going to be running to be the next leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. He couldn't even be bothered to make this announcement that he was going to run to be the next Prime Minister of Canada on Canadian T.V. Since then, he has frequented American and European talk shows and journalists while snubbing opportunities to talk to Canadian shows. He is also apparently fond of releasing scripted, pre-recorded announcements to Canadians in which he does not need to answer questions about what he is saying or face Canadians directly in any way.
He will not even speak to journalists outside of an official news scrum or announcement. I recently saw a very short clip of a video in which a journalist found Mark Carney walking to enter a building and tried to ask a few questions of him, but Carney stated, in short, that he will not engage with anyone who approaches him outside of approved venues. This is a man that is not approachable by those whom he claims to lead. I recall that Stephen Harper used to get a lot of flak for that type of media strategy, but I guess the golden boy can get away with it.
This disdain for accountability extends into the House of Commons where Carney has had the worst record of attendance of any Prime Minister before him and where he will engage directly with questions put forward to him for only two or three questions per Question Period that he actually shows up for, and he leaves the remainder of the questions to be not-answered by his ministers and parliamentary secretaries while he sits in his seat and chuckles or runs out of the House for places unknown. This is a man who is used to being the CEO in a board room who answers to no one; he does not like accountability to others.
He does like travelling around the world on the tax-payers dime, charging incredible amounts to the tax-payers for his catering expenses though. According to CarneyWatch.ca, Mark Carney's travels have cost Canadians over $2.5 million dollars of confirmed costs, with some costs unconfirmed, plus in his first year alone, the catering costs of his trips was $963,000 dollars. For food! While Canadians are dealing with the worst cost of living issues in generations and lining up at food banks.
This man is not here for you. He is here for himself.
Just one example that he has plans of his own that have nothing to do with the best interests of Canada is the simple fact that his first trip abroad as the newly elected Prime Minister of Canada was not to our neighbour and ally to the south. No, Prime Minister Mark Carney went to see his friends in Europe. At the time, there was a lot of speculation about that decision. It seemed very odd, oven to the media that was covering him. As it turns out, there was a purpose to that trip. Follow me on this.
Mark Carney holds meetings with European leaders immediately after having taken the reins of the country through an election in which Mark Carney, the media and Donald Trump's own words stoked irrational fears among the Canadian electorate about an American take-over of Canada. What could Carney possibly have to discuss with Europeans at that time? Our ties to Europe are mostly historical with weak modern economic ties. We have a trade deal with the E.U., called CETA, but there are a number of nations that have not even ratified that deal yet, ten years after the deal was signed.
On this side of the pond, since his election, Mark Carney has been talking about a trade war and a rupture in the relationship between Canada and the U.S., driving a wedge between us and our greatest national partner. Carney has twice walked away from a trade deal, the terms of said deal having been hammered out through weeks of negotiations between the countries, which Carney was presumably aware of, and the details of which Canadians have never been made aware of. We were given a farcical explanation of threats to our sovereignty as a reason for the last denial of a deal, but that was B.S.
There was never any threat to the French language in Canada and the claims that the U.S. wanted control over whom Canada makes trade deals with are misrepresented. CUSMA already has a clause in it from the original deal that requires that all signatory countries have to present any prospective trade deals with non-market nations (i.e. nations outside of Canada, the U.S. and Mexico), with the option of the other signatory countries withdrawing from CUSMA if they are threatened by the prospective deal. Under Mark Carney, Canada has signed a deal with China without presenting it to our CUSMA partners. Canada is in intentional violation of CUSMA, and Mark Carney is too intelligent to not realize this. There is a purpose to this.
(By the way, Canadians have never seen the details of the China deal either, and that is a signed agreement with the nation that Mark Carney called the greatest security threat to Canada during the 2025 Federal Election Leaders debate. Think about that.)
Mark Carney has been intentionally sticking his finger in the eye of Donald Trump, supposedly as a bargaining method, but anyone who has ever negotiated any deal knows that irritating the one that you are dealing with will only make negotiations harder. And what has been the result of Carney's negotiations? There is still no trade deal with the U.S. and we are watching Canadian businesses move to the U.S. or shut down as a result. But Carney is not worried. Everything is going according to plan; his plan.
Let's fast forward to September 16 when Carney was visiting the European Union and was sitting in the European Parliament. European Commission president, Ursula von der Leyen, made a formal invitation to Canada to become it's first ever Associate Member, a status that does not even exist anywhere in the E.U. constitution, and an invitation that took all member states of the E.U. by surprise, drawing criticism from many of them. Mark Carney "just happened" to be sitting in the front row of the European Parliament for the announcement and he got up and embraced von der Leyen after her announcement with a big smile on his face.
Things like this are not done on the spur of the moment. There will have been months of talks prior to this. In fact, on September 18, at a press briefing by the European Parliament, it was mentioned that there have been conversations around this for weeks prior to the announcement made in the Parliament.
But wait; the Carney government had just spent the previous five days denying that any such negotiations were underway. In response to an article released on September 13, 2026 by the Wall Street Journal stating that "Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is attempting an ambitious pivot toward Europe, with his team using diplomatic backchannels to negotiate an “associate member” status with the European Union.", Mark Carney stated that "We're not looking to become a member of the European Union. What we are looking for and will begin discussion for, is a unique alliance with the European Union, between Canada and the European Union".
Technically, he may be telling the truth, but only due to semantics. Carney knew that under the current European Union Constitution, there is no path by which Canada could fully join the E.U., so Canada could not look "to become a member"; the denial passes the truth test, kind of. However, obviously there had been talks about closer ties, and it could be that von der Leyen offered an associate membership in conversations and Carney was agreeable to it while not explicitly offering the term himself. So while Carney will have been well aware that associate membership was about to be offered, in his convoluted mind he could claim that he was not pursuing this. This man has a very loose relationship with truth. It seems to be some elusive creature that he has heard of but has no direct knowledge of. He cannot be trusted.
This proffered associate membership is a result of Carney's long term plans to remove Canada from the sphere of American influence (and protection) and bring us into a closer alliance with Europe, which holds to the globalist views and plans which Trump has been systematically dismantling from U.S. policies in his current term, but which Carney has been pursuing for years. Trump is a threat to the globalist plan, so Carney is tearing Canada away from the U.S. in order to protect the New World Order that he is attempting to build. He is hoping to alienate America while pursuing his own gains.
This is not for Canada or for Canadians; there is something else that Carney is pursuing. There has been speculation that Carney wants to become a future European Commission President, but he can only do so if there is a path into the E.U., and associate membership of Canada fast tracks that.
There is absolutely no benefit to Canada getting closer to Europe. The European economy is a shambles. Even the economic powerhouse that was Germany is barely limping along. Christine Lagarde has been a fixture in European politics since at least 2007, serving as France's finance minister from 2007-2011, as the managing director of the International Monetary Fund from 2011-2019, and as the president of the European Central Bank since then. In a January interview with Reuters, she was quoted as saying that "Europe, the European economy is in an existential economic crisis." Just like Canada, Europe can't get their economy moving.
There is also the Draghi Report from September of 2024. Professor Draghi was asked to study and report on the economic realities of European countries and his outlook was less than stellar. His views align with those of other globalist elites with priorities revolving around ideas such as climate protectionism, equity and social inclusion, so his views are skewed towards pursing those at almost any cost, but following is an excerpt from the foreward of the report:
"If Europe cannot become more productive, we will be forced to choose. We will not be able to become, at once, a leader in new technologies, a beacon of climate responsibility and an independent player on the world stage. We will not be able to finance our social model. We will have to scale back some, if not all, of our ambitions.
This is an existential challenge.
Europe’s fundamental values are prosperity, equity, freedom, peace and democracy in a sustainable environment. The EU exists to ensure that Europeans can always benefit from these fundamental rights. If Europe can no longer provide them to its people – or has to trade off one against the other – it will have lost its reason for being.
The only way to meet this challenge is to grow and become more productive, preserving our values of equity and social inclusion. And the only way to become more productive is for Europe to radically change."
Draghi also states elsewhere in the report that it is his assertion that European manufacturing capabilities will "get wiped out", much in the same way that the Canadian manufacturing capabilities are currently getting wiped out by Carney's failure to secure a trade deal with the U.S. I will point out that it is reported that Mario Draghi is also a close friend of Mark Carney, so I believe that Carney is well aware of the opinions of Draghi.
This is the nature of the economic reality that is the European Union, and this is the economic "lifeline" that Mark Carney wants to tie our own sinking economy to. This is a situation where there are two people drowning and they are grabbing at each other in a panic to save themselves, which will only result in both parties drowning.
Canada doesn't have to drown. We have strengths that the Liberals keep handicapping and the madness that is the anger and fear directed at Trump is giving our politicians an excuse to not negotiate with him in good faith towards a trade deal. It is my view, and the view of many others, that Mark Carney is intentionally torpedoing the trade talks with Trump for domestic political gain and in pursuit of aligning Canada with European values instead of North American and American values. There is a desire to remake the world in such a way as to have one world governance and one world currency.
This is Biblical. For those of you who have not read the end of The Book, this is what the final boss, the Antichrist is going to rule over. He will not build it; it will have already been established by others, but he will take over the leadership of it and turn it to his own will. That will not be an atheist government either; there will be a religious rule to it, which I will delve into in another article that will not be part of this series.
Mark Carney is fighting against Donald Trump claiming to be protecting Canada's sovereignty, but how is it protecting our sovereignty to align ourselves with an overseas political organization with no elected representatives, with which we cannot gain full membership or representation of our own nation, whose laws we would need to recognize and obey while we will likely have to contribute monies to the running of this foreign governance structure? Britain left the E.U. in order to ensure their own sovereignty, yet we are running to the E.U. to protect ours? Canada ratified our own Constitution in 1982 in order to remove us from under the thumb of England, but now we'll run back to Europe to re-establish that European control? Never mind the fact that this "sovereign nation" has signed onto the World Health Organization Pandemic Agreement in May 2025, just after Mark Carney became our Prime Minister; an agreement that places overall control of the country under another overseas unelected bureaucracy that Canadian citizens had no say in in the case of another (man-made) pandemic. Yeah, that should work out well for us.
How is any of this acceptable in the eyes of Canadians? It isn't, but the vast majority of Canadians are completely unaware of the things that this government has done, is doing, and will continue to do as long as the polls are showing that Canadians support Mark Carney. If the poll numbers start to dip, then Carney will have to slow down his process of selling out Canada to non-bidders until he can shore up his domestic support. But Canadians are too engrossed by their phone apps and cost of living stresses to pay attention to politics. After all, this is why we elect representatives, isn't it?
And what if those representatives are in on the grift? What if their allegiance is bought through offered shares in a multi-national investment company with ties to the PM (cough, cough, Brookfield)? I can't prove any of this, but this is a distinct possibility. Look at François-Philippe Champagne's wife's involvement in the Alto High Speed Rail project, which has not advanced the project to even buy up the first piece of land but which is already paying out bonuses to the executives? Or how about minister Tim Hodgson, an American in Canadian politics with business ties to Carney through shared investments? Why did Marilyn Gladu cross the floor to the Liberals, stating that it would be good for her constituents and for her personally?
There are a lot of shady dealings in the operation of our previous and current Liberal governments. Many people are unaware and many more have come to the point where they just expect corruption in our politics and they accept it as normal.
THIS IS NOT NORMAL!! Canada used to be better. Just twelve years ago we had a government that was more or less ethical, as far as governments go. Now corruption is just expected and viewed as a cost of "democracy"? Canadians need to wake up and hold this government to account. But will it ever happen and will it already be too late when it does?
