The Tragic Epic of Charlie Kirk #IAMCHARLIE

I write the following with reservation. It isn't that I don't think that the assassination of Charlie Kirk is not worth talking about, because it most definitely is. The reason that I am reticent about writing about the murder of Charlie Kirk is that I do not want to seem to be benefiting from the tragedy that is Charlie's murder.

I have a pretty decent idea about how algorithms work, so I know that when people search Charlie's name, myriad articles will come up in the results, and some of those results will include this article. I have waited a full week before I even contemplated writing anything on this topic in hopes that I will have missed the mad rush for everybody to dig into this tragedy for moral or immoral reasons.

I have watched with a significant amount of disgust as people have celebrated Charlie Kirk's death. The absolute glee that has been displayed at the termination of a human life in such a macabre fashion should cause all of us to hang our heads in sorrow at the moral depravity that seems to have become the norm in some circles. Those who are celebrating this seem to be focusing on the perceived end to the work that Charlie has spent the last 13 years devoting himself to. They perceive Charlie Kirk as having been a hate filled bigot and equate this view with their assumption that he was an evil person. They can't even see that their own reactions to this tragedy paint themselves as truly depraved and immoral. This is the graphic and brutal termination of the life of a young husband and father, right in front of his wife and two young children as well as a crowd of onlookers, yet these people laugh and dance and scream in joy and post these celebrations on the internet in order to spread and share their exuberance.

What is it that these people hated Charlie so much for? Did he spew hate at all those who disagreed with him? Did he call for violent interventions against everyone on the opposing political side from him? Yes, in fact, these are some of the more common reasons for their hatred. The problem is that their hatred is based on propaganda and not on fact. I would venture that most of these people have not actually listened to Charlie Kirk engage with people themselves, instead, they have listened to the voices of those who have decided that Charlie was a hate filled person and who have chopped up Charlie's debates with people in such a way as to misconstrue his words and his message.

One of my children has had a friend for about six years. They met in school and have tried to stay in contact as university has physically separated them. Our family has stood by this friend and guided them through family difficulties and we have encouraged this friend to learn to stand on their own two feet. This friend has been told what to think for their entire life. First by their parents and now by their university profs and fellow students. They have never developed the ability to come to a conclusion on their own. We have straightened out their thinking on several occasions, but this assassination seems to be the issue that has broken the relationship.

This friend posted something along the lines that the death of Charlie Kirk was justified as a means to silence a hateful voice, and if anyone disagreed with them, "There's the door". We know that this young person is being manipulated by those around them into embracing this belief. We know this because we know what universities are like and we know that this young person has never had an original opinion. I also highly doubt if they have ever watched anything other than clips of Charlie talking. If I could, I would encourage them to watch uncut video footage of Charlie interacting with those who disagreed with him. But that is not likely to happen.

It is common knowledge that the education field has become overrun with leftist ideology. This is not the classic liberal school of thought; this is something that is far different. This thinking has left the classic liberal behind in their mad dash to embrace everything that is absolutely contrary to conservative values. There was a time when the liberal and conservative views on economics, family, religion and the social contract were not that disparate. But it seems that now, the goal of the vocal left is to actually destroy those on the right and their ideals. My only guess as to how we got here is that the left has become controlled by the demonic. How else can you explain the infatuation with promoting death for the unborn, the elderly and now even the mentally unstable, including children? How else do you explain the absolute hatred for and unwillingness to listen to the ideas of the right? How else do you explain the insistence that those who are politically opposite of them are worthy of death?

Classic liberal ideology hasn't changed; neither has classic conservative ideology. The problem is that the left has gone so far to the left that the political spectrum has stretched in only one direction, which has shifted the center. This has caused those on the left to identify the ideas of conservative Christians as being "far-right", which they use as an exclamation of an extreme ideology. This is a moving of the goal posts, a classic liberal maneuver which has been taken to the extreme.

Let's take some time to examine some of the views of Charlie Kirk, otherwise known as "far-right" ideology. Charlie believed in the sanctity of the family and its role in society. He championed the idea of a stay-at-home mother while the present and engaged father would work to provide for his family. Charlie was not against women in the workforce, but his belief was that the woman's primary focus should be to raise children and manage the home. As the children grow and require less intense care, there is the option for the woman to enter the workforce and to help provide for the needs of the family, but Charlie recognized that the boss babe culture has undermined the value of women and has masculinized women as they battle it out in the corporate world. It has removed the soft edges of women that men are attracted to and that men need in order to soften the hard edges of men.

Charlie believed in the sanctity of a person's sexual identity as designed by God and as He created us all. Charlie upheld the freedom for those who are of a sound mind who have attained true maturity and who still want to transition themselves to present as the sex opposite of that to which they were born, but he vehemently stood against the "transing" of our children through the militant activism of deluded parents, teachers and doctors. Charlie recognized the damage that is being done to our children through the propagation of this dangerous ideology and he tried to bring to the forefront the epidemic of transition regret that is becoming more common, where young people who were fed the lies that changing their sexual presentation would fulfill their inner needs and grant them peace. These poor people have realized that this is not the case, and Charlie was trying to point them to the only One who can give them peace, that being Jesus Christ.

Along the same lines, Charlie also stood against the expanding alphabet community indoctrination that has confused young people in the western world to think that they can find fulfillment in sexual deviancy. He didn't call people names or berate them for living in sexual degeneracy, but he did let them know that God's plan has always been for one man and one woman to live together in the sanctity of marriage, to have a family and to train their children up to love God and continue the legacy of their parents. Through it all, Charlie was constantly pointing people to God and to His Son Jesus Christ as the way to find fulfillment in life.

Charlie was also vehemently against everything Diversity/Equity/Inclusion. Charlie took the position that everything DEI is inherently racist in that the entire premise of the ideology is that non-whites are inherently of lesser capability than whites and that they need to get an artificial boost in order to compete on the same level as whites in education and the workforce. Part of the problem with this is that inevitably, it turns into racism against whites while the left is constantly claiming to want to end racism. Charlie valued every person for the being created in God's image that we all are. There wasn't any racism or bigotry in his position, but those who champion DEI couldn't stand that Charlie was making sense, so they had to denigrate his position.

Finally, though this list is not exhaustive, Charlie promoted the notion that we need to be talking to each other. He stated that when we stop talking to each other, that is when violence erupts. His campus talks were designed so that anybody who disagreed with Charlie on any subject could step up to the microphone and have their voice heard. Charlie would engage with anyone in a respectful conversation about their differences, but at the same time, there were many times when a person stepped up to the mic with no intention of having a conversation, but simply to berate and denigrate Charlie, and in these cases, Charlie used his quick wit and vast knowledge to shut them down and move them on. Charlie was a gifted debater and he had a wealth of knowledge that he could draw on to correct the wrong perceptions of those who disagreed with him. This is what drew the ire of his haters; they simply could not out debate him.

When Charlie started Turning Point USA and he went to campuses, he was met almost universally with hate and vitriol by the professors and the students alike, yet in the last several years, if you watched his videos, you saw that there were actually a lot of students who were now supporting Charlie's ideas. He had managed to break through the university programming and speak truth to these students through calm and intelligent dialogue. It has been pointed out that Charlie Kirk did not die because he was speaking truth and conservative values to our children; Charlie Kirk was killed because our children were listening to him.

As things stand right now, there are reports of conversations that were had in the days before Charlie's assassination that indicate that a conspiracy was underway. There are other people who are being tracked down under suspicion that they were influencing the young man who shall remain unnamed in this article to do what he did; people in the shadows, who had a desire for an outcome but who did not want to bear the public blame and to wear Charlie's blood on their hands.

As you continue to follow where this investigation is going, keep in mind that the left is perpetuating it's own narrative in order to try to, first and foremost, defame Charlie's legacy and misrepresent what he stood for, but I have also seen the media try to portray Charlie's killer as a right-winger. This is such a load that to think that anybody would believe this is almost incomprehensible, yet there are those who are latching onto this fabrication in order to protect their fragile "reality" that the left is not the problem in modern western politics. The shooter was raised in a Mormon household and taught the ideals of the right, but he has entirely rejected his upbringing. He is a member of several left-wing hate groups and has a gay lover who is in the process of transitioning to present as a female. This is no right-winger.

The crazy thing is that as much as the left want to paint Charlie as a hate filled xenophobic, transphobic, homophobic bigot, the things that he proclaimed are straight out of the Bible. He proclaimed the Word of God, the will of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and through his proclamations, he taught and clarified what Bible believing Christians should have known already, but they were failed by their parents and their pastors, and they have been shouted down by liberal teachers and professors as being hate filled purveyors of outdated morality. I think that has now changed. I think that conservatives will no longer bow to the pressures of an immoral society, but will rather boldly proclaim what they know to be right and will push back against evil ideologies and agendas.

The senseless killing of Charlie Kirk has shaken the nation. Those who are celebrating Charlie's death don't seem to understand what has happened. This will be noted in the future as having been a turning point (ironically) in the political realm of the United States and possibly elsewhere. Charlie Kirk was admired around the world and his murder will only drive those who hold to the same ideals that he espoused to speak up boldly and to turn the tide of degeneracy back on itself, where it will inevitably eat itself in a bid for survival. Charlie Kirk's message will resonate more loudly in his death than it ever did in his life. This is the error of the left. In their desire to silence their opposition and to instill fear in those on the right, they may very well have awoken a sleeping lion that will pick up the baton that was dropped when Charlie was shot, and that baton will multiply and gain momentum as the heinous actions of the left will be shouted out to the rooftops and the four corners of the world. Charlie's voice has just been given an even bigger bullhorn than it had before.

Christians know that Charlie was doing God's work and he was cut down in the middle of it for the very reason that it was God's work that he was doing. I am confident that Charlie has heard, "Well done, good and faithful servant" and that he is reaping his rewards.

As horrific as Charlie's death is in it's manner and provocation, Charlie's death is not the tragedy of this story. His family has been forever changed and will forever miss him and he is with his Saviour, but the real tragedy of this story is that this assassination has shown us that the left has no understanding of how depraved it has really become and how their own words and actions have lead to this outcome. Unfortunately, I doubt if they will ever recognize that they need to change direction.

If you disagree with my position, God bless you, but I would encourage you to watch footage of Charlie engaging with young people without commentary. I would suggest watching a few hours worth to get a good understanding of who Charlie was. You can find his videos here.

Rest In Peace Charlie Kirk.
