GCD Short - The Plight of Syria Revisited

In early December of 2024 I wrote an article about the fall of Bashar al-Assad, the President of Syria. He had been fighting a civil uprising ever since the "Arab Spring" in which outside forces intervened in several middle east countries and caused the overthrow of several of the leaders of those countries. If you would like to read what I wrote at that time, you can find that article here.

This will not be much of an article written by me. I simply want to provide you with an update on what has been happening in Syria since we last looked at it. I want to direct your attention to an article that was published by the Gateway Pundit on July 20th. I have read several of their articles over the years and I have found their reporting of issues to be pretty balanced. I share this article because one of the few former journalists that I trust has shared it. You can either click the link below or copy and paste it into your browser. The long and the short of it is that it looks like my concerns were valid; that the former terrorist turned president is not a man of his word and it seems that he is allowing his forces to oppress the non-muslim minorities in his country. Please read this article and keep these minorities in your prayers.
