Artificial Intelligence is a Demonic Intelligence
Artificial intelligence (AI) is growing in popularity in the developed world. There are numerous companies that are all racing to create and train the next great AI platform, and along with this are other companies that are racing to create robots powered by AI that look and move like humans; upright bipeds that are designed to help us with our domestic chores and will soon replace us in the workforce.
I am not going to fear-monger about robots replacing us, though I am not a fan of the growing interest in them. I am more concerned about the rise of AI into all aspects of life. I have never yet initiated the virtual assistant on any digital device that I have owned, and I never will. Does that stop the device from listening to everything that I say and sending reports back to the software developer? Probably not, but I am leaning more and more towards moving myself away from modern electronics and returning to the good old days of dumb phones, televisions and fridges and older computer platforms that are lacking cameras and microphones. I am just not comfortable with the access that we are giving to huge corporations in order to gain just a little more convenience.
Some might say that my discomfort is bordering on paranoia. They may not be wrong. I have a friend that got an Alexa a number of years ago. They have it connected to a few things in their home and, of course, it always has access to the internet. This friend and I have discussed some pretty heavy subjects at times, and I will admit that there have been times when I requested and was given permission to unplug Alexa in order to attain some level of privacy. You may think that this is extreme behaviour. There are many who say that Alexa, or any other such virtual assistant type of device does not listen in to your conversations but only activates when you call it's name, but consider this; how does it know if you are calling it if it is not always listening? Think of your spouse for a moment. If your spouse could "turn off" their hearing, they would not be able to hear you calling their name. Their hearing has to always be "on", they always have to be listening in order to hear you calling them. The same goes for these devices.
You may not be concerned about this because you aren't in the habit of planning anything nefarious against the governments or large corporations or even your next door neighbour, but the implications of an ever listening ear are much larger than that. Your very schedule can be monitored by measuring the amount of activity in your house throughout the day. When you wake up, when you leave for work, when your children get home from school in relation to when you get home from work. And this information probably isn't as secure as you may think. We have no way of knowing how much of this information is collected and sent back to the parent company on a regular basis. Also, how many of us take enough precautions to secure our own wifi networks at home? How many of us even have the skills and knowledge to do so effectively? I'm sure I don't. I can set and regularly change the password for my wifi, but that is about the extent of what I have the ability to do. It would take a mid-level hacker about 2.5 minutes to crack into my wifi if they wanted to, and that is if they are preoccupied with something else at the same time.
It is truly amazing what hackers can do. I have had the opportunity to visit with someone who was formerly a hacker. He accomplished some crazy stuff that he inferred in our conversation, but he didn't go into a lot of details about what he did except for telling me about a job interview that he went for when he went straight and applied for an IT (Information Technology) technician for a medium sized company. Now what I am about to relate is not actually that impressive in the grand scheme of things, but it was still eye-opening for me when he told this to me.
As Tim (not his real name) was sitting in the interview and he and the interviewer were discussing what his abilities were and what he could bring to the company, Tim pulled out his cell phone, hacked into the company's server, found the interviewer's computer terminal and turned it off. From his phone. While carrying on a conversation with his target.
I also recall another story from when Tim was in college and he was having a dispute of some kind with one of his professors. In order to prove a point to the professor, Tim hacked into the college network and accessed some type of private student information on a lot of students (it may have been their academic records or some such thing, I do not recall now exactly what it was), and he printed these records off to a printer that was located in a room behind a locked door for the professor to find there later.
Now, Tim's reputation precedes him. These exploits are less than child's play for him. For him, this amounts to me pulling a prank on somebody involving a bucket of water propped up on a door. He has done much more intricate and impressive stuff with computers that I cannot share with you. The point is, most of us are so completely unaware of the technological infiltration that we have opened ourselves up to through just some technology that we now almost consider as basic necessities that our lives have essentially become open books to anyone that has been granted access to that information through sharing agreements. Have you ever actually read the permissions that you are giving to software developers and their "third party partners"? Who are these partners, and why are they partners? Do you know that even your bank is selling your information to others? How do you think that they are earning tens of billions of dollars of profit every single quarter? Your information is more valuable to those who harvest it than it seems to be to you, as long as you get some new entertainment or a new convenience.
But that is all really just an introduction to the real purpose of this article, and that is to tell you that it is my belief that AI is actually a demonic intelligence. Think about this; I am of the age that computers were just beginning to show up in classrooms when I was in elementary school. We learned about DOS programming in grade school. It was exciting that we were able to type in commands in order to draw lines in different directions on the screen. This was so rudimentary that the lines could only change directions at 90 degree increments, but we were excited to be introduced to this amazing new technology. Those computers were big, single unit contraptions with the keyboard, screen and CPU all contained in one unit. There was one colour on the screen, which was green, and if there was some type of program that we could run, it was run off of the big 5 1/2" floppy disk that we inserted into the drive. It didn't download onto the computer; it ran right off of that disk.
Just a few decades later, almost everybody has multiples more computing power in their pocket than those first school computers did, and we replace that every couple of years because it has become outdated. Now we are delving into an era where we are just asking some computer program somewhere to accomplish things for us, like writing papers, undertaking complex computations after having harvested the necessary information from the internet on it's own and even looking for this technology to advise us on myriad different decisions that we need to make. How does technology advance at that pace without outside help? Humans seriously aren't that smart. After having spent the better part of a month looking at the realities of the spiritual realm, is it really beyond comprehension that the spirit realm could very well be advising humans on how to grow this technology?
If you have ever read the Book of Enoch, you are aware that it is claimed that the spirit beings that rebelled against God taught mankind so many things that were well beyond the comprehension of mankind at that time. It has been a while since I have read the Book of Enoch myself, so the following is open to correction, but as I recall it, it is the fallen watchers whom God had placed in positions of authority over the world before they fell that taught mankind how to mine and refine metal ores, how to mix plant roots, leaves and other extracts to create narcotics and makeup, how to summon spirits through magic arts and how to engage in warfare, among other such things that had formerly been forbidden knowledge.
This is part of the reason for the world wide flood of Genesis 7. The world had become so corrupted that God had to wipe out humanity and their corrupted ways in order to start over. This is greatly simplified, and I think I will probably delve into this to a somewhat greater degree in the near future, but the point is that the fallen angels had so corrupted mankind that God had no choice but to destroy the whole earth. What is to say that their overall methodology has changed? Satan and his demons know that God cannot allow mankind to continue to exist once they have attained a certain, unspecified level of sinful corruption. They also know that God promised that He would not again flood the entire earth in order to destroy it (Genesis 9:8-17). So if Satan wants mankind destroyed yet he is unable to do so himself, he needs to create the conditions that will "force" God's hand that He will have to act Himself.
Satan hates mankind because we are God's creation and God loves us. Satan does not want to have humans adore and worship him; he wants humanity destroyed. Satan is not lord over Hell; it is not his place of dwelling, he doesn't hang out there. Hell was created as Satan's final destination. He will be tormented for eternity along with every other created being that rejects God. Satan just wants to take as many of God's beloved humans along with him, and he will use everything at his disposal to accomplish his goals. That includes technology.
What better way to enslave mankind than to do so with mankind driving the push to achieve it? Give mankind a taste of what it would be like to 'create life' in the form of artificial intelligence, then show mankind what 'his' creation can do for him and mankind will pursue the growth and advancement of his creation with every ounce of his energy and ability. Mankind thinks that we will have the capacity to restrain AI; I don't believe that we will, but I also don't believe that it will get that far before Jesus returns to claim what is rightly His; that is the earth and the people that He has created. God is in control of all that happens and when it happens. Just like God allowed mankind to act in rejection of Him until the earth was so corrupted that only a few people and animals were worthy of being saved, in the same way I believe that God will wait to send Jesus back until the very last person that has not made a decision about Him has made that decision, either for Him or against Him. At that point, there is no more point in waiting; Jesus will come, receive those who love Him to Himself and He will enact the wrath of God on the earth just prior to His millennial reign.
It just defies my understanding that mankind can move forward with these types of technological advances without the help of the spiritual realm. As this is the case, I want to encourage all people, especially believers, to avoid allowing AI into your lives as much as possible. If you are using the virtual assistant on your devices, please stop and disable it. When you are buying new appliances and other electronics, opt for the dumb option instead of the convenience laden one. Your fridge, your dishwasher and your furnace really don't need internet access. There is no real point to that.
Also, I implore you not to use AI to advise your own decisions. You can look up information yourself, gleaning what is useful from what isn't, and you can seek advise from people whom you know and trust rather than some faceless, foreign electronic entity. The book of Proverbs is loaded with wisdom that states that we should seek advise from a multitude of trusted people. In this way, God can act to lead us where He wants us to go, through the sage advice of Godly advisors. If you seek your advise from a demonically controlled and spiritless entity, then that advice is completely lacking in God's guidance and leading.
This is a bit long to get to a small yet important point. I don't know how else to explain my concerns that might make more sense to you; maybe at a later date I will be able to do so. Just please be careful about how much you open yourself and your life to the influences of technology. It is soulless and it cannot lead you the way that God can.
I hope that this article reaches you where you are and encourages you to keep your spiritual senses open to the potential dangers around you.
